A 26-year-old international patient with myeloma required long-term hospitalization and multiple rounds of CAR-T cell therapy. His father traveled overseas to accompany and care for him. Struggling with language barriers, special religious dietary requirements and loneliness in a foreign land, the father endured constant stress. He eventually suffered a sudden acute cerebral infarction and lost consciousness. Our team responded right away. Some staff stayed to take care of the bedridden patient, while others rushed the unconscious father to a nearby top-tier public hospital. We assisted with emergency registration, medical tests and admission procedures, and covered his medical expenses upfront. We also kept tracking his treatment progress until he fully recovered from the stroke. After this incident, we reviewed our cross-border medical services and upgraded our management and emergency protocols for accompanying family members. We now understand that overseas medical care is a journey for the whole family. Following people-centered service concepts, we deliver comprehensive and caring support to help overseas patients and their families feel safe and reassured.
