A 19-year-old American cancer patient received inappropriate and excessive radiotherapy and chemotherapy abroad. The treatment led to permanent liver and kidney damage, along with severe myelosuppression. The patient had to depend on regular blood transfusions to sustain life. Afterwards, the patient sought treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where doctors stated that the body had been severely impaired by prior treatments and no further treatment options were available. The patient then came to Arion Cancer Center. We immediately adopted the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) care model. Specialists from oncology, nephrology, hematology, pathology, radiology and clinical nutrition jointly analyzed the patient’s organ damage, tumor progression and physical endurance, and created a personalized treatment plan. After the treatment, the patient’s tumor shrank by 70% within two months. This remarkable outcome caught the attention of medical staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Later, many patients from the center also chose to receive treatment at our hospital.
